26.03.09 - New distributor - Lighthouse Marine Equipment

Wave International has announced the appointment of Lighthouse Marine Equipment Ltd. as the main distributor to promote its Wavestream systems in New Zealand.

Lighthouse Marine Equipment Limited offers innovative, reliable solutions for the challenging and unpredictable marine environment, bringing a fresh approach to supply and service for the NZ marine industry. 08.11.08 - New distributors - Nautilus & Derya

Two new distributors join Wave International’s distribution network for the Wavestream bilge filter systems.

Wave International is pleased to welcome Nautilus in Greece and Derya Marine in Turkey to the growing network of focused distributors.
Nautilus  has an extensive distribution net over the whole of Greece, with four chandleries in Alimos (Athens), Salonica, Peiraius and Lavrion .
Derya Marine is based in Marmaris , Turkey and services a wide range of customer covering both the leisure and commercial marine sectors.

03.10.08 - Wave International - METS 2008

Wave International will be exhibiting the full range of Wavestream oil from bilge water filter systems at METS 2008 so please come and visit us at stand number 03.109 in Hall 3.

18.02.08 - New distributor in Australia

Wave International is proud to announce that Marine OEM Supply of Chillingham NSW will be distributing the Wavestream bilge filters. Marine OEM Supply is a major supplier to the boat builders on the east coast of Australia and their Mission Statement is 'Focus on what the customers want'. Hyde Lotter and Rob McGovern the directors of Marine OEM Supply are both avid yachtsmen and “value our precious natural resource.”

Australia has always been a country very aware of its marine environment and this new distributorship will bring all the environmental benefits of Wavestream to the Australian marine market. Hyde Lotter, of Marine OEM Supply says ”Wavestream fits in well with our existing product range and our customers are already appreciating the benefits of these premium, Lloyds Type Approved bilge filters…… the response has been immediately positive. 23.11.07 - Wavestream distribution in Denmark

Wave International is proud to announce the latest distributor for the Wavestream bilge filter systems is Palby Marine based in Kolding, Denmark.

Palby are a well established company with a widely distributed and varied catalogue. Many of the products fit well with the Wavestream systems helping to market the brand in to Denmark for the first time.

The two smallest systems, the Micro and Wavestream System 1 will be featured in the new 2008 catalogue as it was felt these would be the most popular sizes to suit the Danish boating market.

31.10.07 - CEN-TRA-MAR Spain distribute Wavestream

Wave International, UK manufacturer of the Wavestream bilge filter, has announced the appointment of Central de Transmisiones Marinas S.L., known as CEN-TRA-MAR, Madrid as the main distributor to promote its Wavestream systems in Spain.

CEN-TRA-MAR has been established since 1993 and has its headquarters at Getafe, near Madrid. They distribute specialised propulsion, transmission, control and engine room equipment to a wide range of craft, recreational and commercial. CEN-TRA-MAR represents several prestige international brands. They will launch Wavestream at the 2007 Barcelone Boat Show.

Paul Gullett, Managing Director at Wave International says, “Spain has a significant recreational boating community and many commercial, fishing and workboat builders. CEN-TRA-MAR not only supplies the boat builders and suppliers in Spain but also works with the Navy and other marine based authorities making CEN-TRA-MAR an ideal distributor for Wavestream”.

10.09.07 - To Distribute Wavestream In Italy

Wave International, UK manufacturer of the Wavestream bilge filter, has announced the appointment of Uflex to distribute and promote its WaveStream systems in Italy.

Giorgio Avigdo, National Sales Manager for the marine market comments, “Uflex is delighted to introduce Wavestream systems to its distribution. It is becoming increasingly important to protect our environment from pollution and Wavestream bilge filters are a very economical and effective way to achieve this goal”.

Uflex are a well respected mainstream supplier in Italy and Wave International is looking forward to working alongside them in order to expand Wavestream in to the Southern European market.

21.02.07 - Sunseeker Expands Use of Wavestream

Sunseeker International was the UK’s first production boat builder to take active steps to help owners protect the environment by fitting a bilge water filter as standard onto six models within its range of craft.  Now it has expanded the installation of  the systems to the rest of their range. The Wavestream bilge filter, from Wave International, is an environmentally friendly oil filter system that removes oil from bilge water; ensuring only clean water is discharged overboard. 

Sunseeker had carried out extensive tests over a period of time, to assess effectiveness and reliability.  Calvin Gray, Quality Engineer at Sunseeker said, “Due to the very high standard of build and design that goes in to the Sunseeker product and the stringent rules and regulations that are in place,  the new Wavestream overboard bilge water filter system is the only product that can guarantee Sunseeker's stamp of approval when producing boats to ISO, MCA, RINA, ABYC and Lloyd's register.”

09.01.07 - Halyard Presents Monty Hall With Wavestream System 2

The Green Blue, the joint BMF & RYA environmental awareness initiative, has announced the appointment of a new Ambassador.  British adventurer, marine biologist and TV Presenter Monty Halls.

The announcement took place on the joint BMF & RYA Stand at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show, where Monty was joined by British yachtsman Mike Golding OBE. 

Halyard Ltd presented Monty with a Wavestream System 2 bilge filter. The Wavestream is an in-line filter that fits into the line between the bilge pump and the water outlet.  It is a cost effective and easy way for boat owners to prevent oily bilge water from being discharged overboard.

20.12.06 - New Bilge Filter System for Superyachts & Ships

Wave International, the developer and manufacturer of the Wavestream oil from bilge water filter systems have developed a large capacity system for the shipping, super and megayacht markets. In addition to the existing range of bilge filter polishing systems that are used widely in commercial shipping and based on these they have developed the Wavestream System 5.

The WSS5 uses a newly developed 316 stainless steel housing with a large diameter, 20 inch long single cartridge. This gives the same oil removal capacity in excess of seven of the Wavestream System 3 cartridges, giving longer periods between cartridge change out.

Paul Gullett from Wave International said "Shipping operators, Superyacht owners and builders are becoming more environmentally aware and want the best bilge water systems available. The WSS5 with its increased oil from bilge water removal capacity will give the larger Superyachts and Megayachts the benefits seen by our shipping customers such as Overseas Shipholding Group and the British Navy".

10.11.06 - Song of The Whale Protecting the Seas

Song of the Whale is the International Fund for Animal Welfare's research vessel. She is a specially modified 46 ft sailing vessel dedicated to promoting the conservation and welfare of marine life. She travels the worlds oceans studying whales, dolphins, harbour porpoises, turtles and other marine life.

A Wavestream System 2 bilge filter, supplied by Halyard Marine UK, has been chosen to control bilge water discharge during her future trips around the globe. 

10.11.06 - Italian Superyacht Builder Chooses Wavestream

Italian boat manufacturer Overmarine has announced that it will be fitting bilge water filters onto its range of Mangusta yachts as part of an active measure to help boat owners protect the environment.

Mangusta yachts are characterised by their long length and open bridge style, and are renowned for being the biggest and fastest open yachts in the world. Overmarine will be fitting Wavestream from Wave International to the Mangusta 72’, 80’, 92’, 105’, 108’ open and 130’ models as standard. The decision to fit Wavestream filters was made as part of an active campaign to help enable owners and operators comply with the increasingly stringent environmental standards being introduced to protect seas, rivers and inland waterways.

10.11.06 - Delta Power Installs Wavestream

Delta Power has always been at the forefront of RIB design and development and is supplying 12 high speed RIB’s , based on their fast Patrol Craft, to the Dutch Antilles for the Coastguard Service. The craft are fitted with twin inboard engines and two Wavestream System 2 bilge filter units to ensure no overboard discharge of oily bilge water, one was displayed at the Seawork 2005 commercial boat show.

Delta already fits Wavestream systems to many of its craft and they supply customers such as the MoD, the Irish Navy, Northumbria Police, Fisheries Protection authorities and also BP for their 18.6 mtr. ARRCS® (Autonomous Rescue & Recovery Craft).
